I earned the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (C.A.P.S.) through the National Association of Home Builders (N.A .H.B.) and A.A.R.P. with extensive construction and nursing experience. In addition, I have owned and operated many businesses over the years. I was born in Eau Claire, grew up in Minneapolis and have lived in Shorewood, Wisconsin for almost 30 years. I am married and have two grown daughters.
I enjoy new challenges and learning new things. I have Bachelor of Science in Finance from St Cloud State University, an Associate Arts of Science in Construction Project Management from Dunwoody Institute (in Minneapolis), and an Associate Degree in Nursing from MATC. I’ve taken most of the Electrical Wiremen Courses at MATC and worked as an electrical apprentice.
The highlights of my professional construction experience includes having been an Estimator for a large General Construction (G.C.) firm, and a specialty O.E.M. mechanical construction firm Estimator/Field Service Manager. I spent 5 years at another firm as the Construction Coordinator for a national senior living company. Over the years, I renovated multiple homes, performing most of the work myself. When I transitioned from the construction field, I went back to school for nursing. While in school, I worked the weekend second shift for Aurora Healthcare at St. Luke’s South Shore as a nurse’s aide and healthcare unit coordinator in the Intensive Care and Behavioral Heath Units for 5 years.
I am fully insured, with both professional nursing and construction / business liability insurance.
